Learning By Doing

The OLA Learning Journey

At Oxford Little Angels, we don’t just teach. We aim to ignite curiosity. Our curriculum combines the foundational standards of South Africa’s National Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS) framework with our own unique approach that allows students to learn by doing. We believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged, having fun, and feeling safe.

We also organise regular field trips to carefully selected destinations, such as, science centres or nature reserves. These adventures are designed to inspire creativity and show our children that with curiosity and belief, the impossible becomes possible.

Whether your child is taking their very first steps or soon to start primary school, our goal is to make sure they feel confident, capable, and happy every single day. We keep our classes small so that every child gets the individual attention and support they need to thrive.

Our Classes

A Holistic Approach for Every Step

Baby Class

We know that leaving your baby for the first time is a very big step for any parent. That is why we focus on making our classroom feel just like a second home. Our team is here to give your baby lots of warmth, cuddles, and attention so they feel safe and loved all day long. We carefully follow the same feeding and sleeping routine you have at home, so there is no disruption to their day. When they are awake, we keep them busy with soft music, gentle games, and tummy time to help their little bodies grow strong.

Potty Class

This is a busy and exciting year where your toddler starts wanting to do things all by themselves. We are here to help you with the big challenge of potty training. Our teachers are very patient and positive, working closely with you to make sure this step is easy and stress-free for everyone. We also believe in learning through play, so we do lots of painting, playing with sand, and splashing in water to help their hands get strong. There is also plenty of safe space for them to run, climb, and dance as they learn to move around with confidence.

Fish Class

At this age, the world gets much bigger and children start making their very first real friends. We spend a lot of time helping them learn how to share toys, take turns, and play nicely with others. We talk, sing songs, and say rhymes all day long to help them learn new words and speak clearly. We also play fun games using colours, shapes, and simple puzzles. These activities help wake up their brains and get them ready to solve simple problems, all while they are having fun.

Butterfly Class

This is the magical age where children love stories and make-believe. In this class, a simple cardboard box can become a rocket ship or a castle! We use this wonderful imagination to help them learn. We spend time practicing using scissors, holding crayons correctly, and threading beads. These fun activities are actually very important because they get their hands and fingers ready for writing later on. We also tell stories together to build their confidence in speaking in front of friends and encourage them to do simple tasks like tidying up by themselves.

Eagle Class

This is where we start getting ready for “real” school work, but we make sure it stays fun and interesting. We introduce a gentle daily routine that mixes free play time with focused learning activities. We play games that teach them to recognise letters, sounds, and numbers so they aren’t afraid of maths or reading. We also introduce them to computers and technology in a safe way. Our goal is to encourage them to ask lots of questions and think about how the world works around them.

Lion Class

Our main goal is to send your child to Grade 1 feeling ready for anything. In our “Future Leaders” class, we make sure they can read, write, and count well enough for primary school. But it is about more than just school work. We also teach them how to be a good friend, how to resolve arguments, and how to be a leader. We want them to walk into big school feeling confident, kind, and responsible, knowing they can handle whatever comes next.

Fees & Enrolment

Affordable Quality Education for Your Family

We believe that every child deserves a great start in life, and we work hard to make sure our school is accessible to as many families as possible. We understand that every household has a different budget and a different schedule, so we have designed our fees to be flexible. Whether you need full-day care while you work, or just a half-day option, we have a plan that can fit your needs.

  • Monthly Fees: Our fees are very competitive, generally starting from around R1,000 per month depending on the package you choose.

    • We also provide nutritional and balanced meal programmes for children with busy parents. This is an additional option with costs that are dependant on the child’s individual nutritional needs.

  • Registration Fee: To process your application and secure your child’s place in the class, there is a once-off fee of R800.

Because the final cost depends on your child’s specific age group and the hours you select (for example, full-day vs. half-day), the best way to find out exactly what you will pay is to ask us for a personal quote. Click the button below to get a quotation.

Hear From Our OLA Family

Mrs. Maria Parent

My daughter just finished her first year of primary school at Paterson Park primary school. She got the highest achiever award. Her teachers are saying that she is very focused and seems to be ahead of all her peers. I believe that it is because we chose the right preschool. OLA, thank you very much.

Mrs. Olivia Parent

I'm so grateful to the entire team at Oxford Little Angels. My son has grown a lot in confidence and knowledge since he started. Noella has been very easy to communicate with. She has been caring and seems to really know what she is doing. I would highly recommend OLA to anyone looking for a good creche.

Mr. Victor Guardian

This is honestly such a good school. My nephew attended OLA and now my niece does too. I can't say enough how much they have improved. They can read, count, draw, dance, sing and more. They actually seem to enjoy it too. They are even asking me to read storybooks with them constantly. I was so surprised.
