Founded in 2017, Oxford Little Angels (OLA) was born from a desire to challenge the “one-size-fits-all” educational model.
Our founder and Principal, Mrs. Noella Namasi, saw this gap firsthand. Drawing from her experience as an Early Childhood Education lecturer at Brooklyn City College and her background in Child Psychology and Criminology at Monash University, she identified two truths:
OLA was built on a powerful solution that aims to meet every child at their level and nurture their unique potential. We do this through a truly collaborative approach where our teachers and parents work together as much as possible.
This approach works. We now boast over one hundred and fifty successful graduates with many of our early learners going on to receive High Achiever awards in their later schooling. It is this success and the trust of our parent community that has fuelled our continued growth and our recent expansion into a fully fledged primary school. We are now incredibly proud to guide learners from their very first steps all the way through to their high school preparation. We are now incredibly proud to guide learners from their very first steps all the way through to their high school preparation.
Our philosophy is the basis for everything we do and is based on four core values.
We believe who teaches matters just as much as what is taught. Our teachers are passionate and caring professionals who create a warm and loving and highly secure environment. This allows your child to build absolute trust and explore their world with immense confidence whether they are toddlers taking their first steps or senior primary learners tackling complex projects.
We believe children learn best by practical application. That is why we have a highly dynamic educational programme across both our campuses. It is designed to empower learners with critical thinking skills and a true passion for knowledge rather than just focusing on simple memorisation. We spark their curiosity so they can succeed entirely on their own.
We nurture the whole child. This means focusing equally on their academic and social and emotional and physical growth. This begins with providing a perfectly safe space for them to explore which is why our school is strictly monitored by security cameras. Our personalised learner support systems and our healthy balanced meal offerings are all carefully designed with this specific value in mind.
We believe education starts in the family and we view you as our most important partner. We create constant opportunities for meaningful collaboration from regular academic feedback to special parent and child events. We want to ensure we are always working closely together to guarantee your childs absolute success.
Our mission is to be a powerful force for good. We are deeply dedicated to moulding the proud African leaders of tomorrow. We achieve this by helping learners develop the academic excellence and the confidence and most importantly the strong character they need to excel in high school and beyond.
Our vision does not stop at our school walls however. This is because we believe true leadership means dedicated service. We are passionately committed to taking care of our local community by actively supporting families in need through targeted fundraising and community outreach programmes.
Furthermore we know that incredible talent and potential are found in every single home. That is why we are driven to offer scholarships to bright children from all backgrounds giving them the exact same access to a high quality and highly innovative education. At the root of absolutely everything we do from every primary school lesson we teach to every preschool family we support is our strong faith in God and a guiding commitment to true love ideals.
We ground our teaching in South Africa's National Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS) framework, which we have enriched with our own unique philosophies and experiences to create a tailored learning journey for your child.
We are open Mondays to Fridays from 07h00 to 17h30. We are closed on public holidays.
This depends on each child's readiness. The main requirement is that the child is no longer reliant on breastfeeding, which is typically around 6 months of age.
We welcome children from six months old in our early learning centre all the way up to Grade Seven in our primary school.
We offer a wide variety of programmes and options. Please check out our [Programmes Page] for more details on all available activities and contact us for quotations.
